Step 2: Road Planner

Après cette rapide présentation du blog, il est grand temps de passer aux choses sérieuses, et notamment aux détails concernant le voyage !

Notre aventure se résume à ces quelques chiffres :

6 947 Miles à parcourir, 27 heures à tuer en avion et 14 en bus, 9 villes à visiter dans 7 états différents et 4 fuseaux horaires auxquels s’habituer et tout ça en 20 jours… Qui dit mieux ?

Alors puisqu’une image vaut mieux que de long discours, voici notre programme jour après jour, à la minute près (au cas où vous vouliez accorder vos montres à notre rythme =)).

Our adventure in few figures:

6 947 Miles to travel, 27 hours to kill in flights and 14 on the bus, 9 cities to visit in 7 different states and 4 time zones to think of and all these in 20 days… Who can top that?

And as a picture is worth a thousand words, here is our road planner day after day to the minute (in case you want to set your watches at the pace of our trip =))

Step 1: Voyage aux Etats Unis

Une petite présentation du projet s’impose :

Nous sommes deux Franc-Comtoises à la recherche de voyages et de découvertes, prêtent à sonner à la porte de nos amis américains !

Vous trouverez dans ce blog toutes les informations pour vous lancer à votre tour dans les préparatifs d'un voyage aux Etats-Unis de trois semaines (type Road Trip).

Nous alimenterons le blog avant notre départ avec des explications sur « l’avant » : le budget (serré), les réservations d'avions/hôtels, le programme de nos 20 jours d'aventure, la recherche de Couchsurfeurs etc.

Une fois sur le continent américain, nous continuerons à mettre en ligne quotidiennement l’évolution de notre voyage, nos ressentis, mais aussi les visites, restaurants, rencontres et bons plans que nous aurons trouvé !

Que l'aventure commence... !

A little overview of our project:

We are two Frenchies coming from the beautiful region of Franche-Comté looking for travels and discoveries, ready to knock at our American friends' doors!

On this blog, you'll find all the information you need for all the preparations of a three-week road trip in the United-States.

We will frequently update the blog with some explanations on the preparations before starting our trip: the expected spendings, the flight and hotel bookings, the program during the 20 days, the Couchsurfers' looking up etc.

Our daily twists and turns will be regularly featured when we will be in America. Be ready to read our feelings about the trip, but also the visits, restaurants, meetings and the good deals that we'll find there!
